This past weekend 33 teens and chaperones from STACM went to the Steubenville Atlantic conference in Antigonish.  It was an amazing weekend filled with God and fun!  We’ll be posting pictures soon.  I’m sure Brad to tons of them!

I just wanted to take this time to thank all the people that without their support and help and time this wouldn’t have been possible.  First off, thanks to our chaperones who took time off work and time away from their families to come.  Maria, Robert, Jessica, Sarah and Jill – you were awesome!  Thanks to all the teens who were so amazing this weekend.  It was an honor watching you grow in your faith all weekend long!  And thanks to all the parents who came out to fundraisers, formation sessions and prayed for the conference.  Your support is very much appreciated!

In case you’ve not heard…..  Steubenville Atlantic is celebrating it’s 5th anniversary next year.  And it’s official – Righteous B is the host!  There are all kinds of special promotions for next year’s conference and registration will be starting soon!  Next year’s theme is Rooted.

But for now, I hope you’ve all gotten a good night’s sleep!

There is no Hanging Out with Brad and Lynne today due to the holiday and the fact that we’re all exhausted!    Hanging Out will return next week.

Sunday night was our official kick-off to the new semester at LifeTeen and we kicked it off Olympic-style…well Office Olympic-style anyway!  Our night started off with an awesome Mass that had our Core and Crew Teams commissioned.

After Mass we headed over to the Hall and our Core Team made an Olympic entrance and the games got underway!  Make sure you check out all the zany photos on the Photo page!  Here are some of my favourites!

 In case you hadn’t heard, Righteous B, aka Bob Lesnefsky, Catholic hip-hop artist and host of Steubenville Atlantic 2008 had a stroke last week.  It looks like he’s going to be okay but he could still use your prayers.  To find out more about how he’s doing you can go to the website PrayfortheB that his family set up. 

This coming weekend we will be participating in LifeTeen International’s Global Life night called Can It!  We will be having a food drive.  Please make sure you bring a non-perishable food donation with you!  I challenged the youth at Sunday night’s Life Night to take $5 of their own money and spend it on canned goods for this Life night!  Let’s show those who go without that we care!  We’d love as many people to help out with this food drive!  Please drop off your donations at either Canadian Martyrs or Saint Thomas Aquinas this weekend!
