It is with mixed emotions that I announce my resignation from Saint Thomas Aquinas Canadian Martyrs as the parish Youth Minister. This will take effect in July 4th. I have had a lifetime worth of memories and blessings in this ministry through starting Life Teen Youth Ministry, but it has become apparent that God is calling me to move on to other things in my life. So after much prayer and discussions, I have decided to leave the parish. I am not leaving youth ministry altogether as I have been hired to become the new Youth Minster at St. Clement’s Parish in Dartmouth.
I am very excited for the future of this parish. With the vision and support Fr. Mark has given me in the past year I know that this parish is in good hands. Fr. Mark has already hired two wonderful ladies to keep the wonderful work done in the parish going and expand the ministry in new and exiting ways. Lynne Thomas, the former assistant Youth Minister, and Ronda Lynn Cormier-Clark, from St Benedict’s Parish, will be taking over.
Finally I just want to say thank you for the love, prayers, and support I have received from you over the past 4 years. I will miss you but I know that God is calling for this change in the ministry and in my life and I am nothing if not faithful to God’s call.
